Magistrates' Interventions Events
Each year we hold a number of all day tours of interventions offered by York and North Yorkshire Probation Trust as sentencing options to reduce re-offending. The day might include visits to Community Payback projects, a tour of our accredited programmes division and a visit to an approved premises. The tours are open to all serving magistrates, particularly those who are new to the bench. We will post details of upcoming events as they are available.
Sentencer Seminars
Each year we hold a seminar for each North Yorkshire bench. They are usually in the afternoon or early evening and light refreshments are
provided. They are your chance to meet and talk with our local court team and manager and senior managers including our Chief Executive, Pete Brown.
The events for 2010-11 are currently being
planned. It is anticipated that they will take place in January/February 2011.

Spring clean for York
York and North Yorkshire Probation Trust’s Community Payback team will be joining forces with City of York Council and local residents next month to carry out a city wide spring clean of York.
Community Payback Annual Report 2012
Offenders worked over 125,000 hours on Community Payback projects last year worth over £930,000* of free labour to communities in York and North Yorkshire, according to the Probation Trust’s third Community Payback annual report published today.
Customer Service Excellence Award
The Trust has been awarded the Customer Service Excellence award for its exceptional standard of service to customers following a detailed and demanding assessment in January.
