PTRS Report
The four main categories the PTRS monitor are:
- Public protection
- Offender Management
- Interventions
- Operational capability, resource use and strategy
It then calculates these categories into performance bands separately and gives each probation trust an overall achievement banding.
In 2010-11 the Trust achieved ‘Exceptional Performance’ for overall protection of the public and reducing crime. Only three trusts throughout the country were awarded this exceptional and outstanding rating making us one of the best performing Trusts.
Pete Brown, Chief Executive acknowledges this achievement:
“I am absolutely delighted with our performance last year. This is a huge achievement and one of which we are justly proud. This outstanding achievement reflects not only the commitment of managers and staff to delivering quality services, but also the improvements made in processes and procedures during the year. Our strong performance places us in position to positively respond to the challenges we face and achieve the reductions in reoffending which are so important to our communities."
We are delighted that the validated Quarter 1 report for 2011-12 evidences a continuation of this exceptional performance.
