I am writing to express my continuing thanks and appreciation to the Probation Service for the latest round of projects that have been completed over the last few months.
I am writing this letter on behalf of the whole school to thank the probation service for allowing the school to benefit from the services of the young men on Community Payback. They have been coming to the school every Sunday since April 2012 working alongside our caretaker. They have made a great impact on the upkeep of the school buildings and the school grounds.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the probation service for the excellent on-going work being undertaken by the Probation service at Northdale Horticulture, Northallerton.
Offenders from Harrogate and Northallerton will start work this Sunday (10 July 2011), helping to extensively revamp and spruce up the beautiful and historic St. Columa Church, Topcliffe near Thirsk - a valuable and cherished asset to the local community.
In partnership with Richmondshire District Council, offenders from Northallerton have completed over 2,000 hours of unpaid work filling sandbags at the Councilís depot.
In July 2010, the Community Payback team in Harrogate embarked on an innovative and unique partnership with theRipon Community Link Project,
which see offenders giving payback at Riponís Walled Garden Scheme.
Work to restore memorials in cemeteries across the Harrogate district has reached its 1000th milestone.
Offenders in Harrogate and Northallerton have carried out hundreds of hours of Community Payback, helping to spruce up Cundall Church, near Thirsk - a valuable and important asset to the local community.
